"You...you've crossed the border, this is the official disciple area!"
The elder trembled as he spoke. Although his tone should have been reprimanding, he couldn't seem to muster it up. Instead, he sounded helpless and pleading.
"So what?" Chen Xia casually wiped his pale flaming palm on his lapel, a faint smile on his face.
So what?
There was no 'so what'.
Because Chen Xia was already standing before him, resting his pale flaming hand on his shoulder, transmitting his terrifying aura without reservation.
"You've messed up your clothes racing over here so urgently. What are you so afraid of? The most I'll do is beat you up a little. It won't kill you."
Chen Xia very politely helped smooth out the disheveled elder's robe over his shoulder, the corners of his lips curved up in a faint smile as he spoke.
"When I'm not fighting, I also respect my elders."
He's so gentle, I could cry.
The elder's legs were already shaking, his aged face taut, teeth chattering and clacking together, unable to utter a word.
Chen Xia helped flick some dust off his lapel, sighing, "You're already so old, yet still learning from the youngsters to come out and fight. Why not just lie down and collect your pension instead of coming to offer me your head?"
His hand paused its motions on the elder's lapel, then suddenly grasped his head and slammed it down heavily into the ground.
Bang!
The earth and rocks fractured, suddenly collapsing inwards. The elder smashed into the very center, eyes rolled back, blood and spittle spurting from the corners of his mouth, already devoid of any consciousness.
Chen Xia stood on the only intact pillar within a hundred meters, unmoving, quietly gazing ahead.
Waiting for someone.
The azure sky spread out golden hues, as if the great sun had risen.
Heavy footsteps sounded out from the void, rippling outwards. The empty space up ahead split open a large gate, and a figure dressed in golden robes strode out.
The Fourth Law Elder!
He only glanced briefly at the pitiful state within the crater, before shifting his gaze to Chen Xia, cursing directly, "Mangy mutt, you actually dare to come, if I don't go find you, you'd actually dare to come to my territory!"
"Lacking in moral cultivation." Chen Xia raised a brow, commenting in disapproval.
The Law Elder's gaze darkened sinisterly. With one hand, he forcefully tore open the void, retrieving a golden sword from within. He shouted, "Today I will behead you here, which can be considered ridding the Blue Sky Sword Sea of a scourge. Vermin like you have no need to continue existing within the Blue Sky Sword Sea!"
Chen Xia nodded. "I don't know how strong you are, but your vicious words sure come one after another. If you can kill me today, even the Sect Leader would bow to you in gratitude."
Why?
Because bowing is the proper etiquette when paying respects to the deceased.
Killing Chen Xia, the hope of Blue Sky Sword Sea, even a hundred Law Elders wouldn't be enough to keep him company in death.
But of course, he definitely won't die, since many powerful figures are already observing this battle.
Battle is fine, but it has to be restrained, especially where Chen Xia is concerned.
"Just wait, in a moment I'll lop off your head in two strikes. I hope you don't scream in pain!" The Law Elder shouted again.
"I hope you can."
Chen Xia simply replied, then ceased to speak. With a huff, he manifested a mouthful of pure sword qi, wrapping his slightly overlong hair within. His refined features were revealed.
Then in a smooth motion, he tore off his tattered right sleeve. Both his hands were now shrouded in billowing sword qi, fluttering about, casting a hundred million shadows.
His diminutive figure stood upon the earth, gazing up at the Law Elder in the heavens.
The golden sky grew heavier.
The Law Elder raised his sword, calling out loudly. "Three million flying swords are no match for my single strike!"
Right as his voice fell, Chen Xia shot up from the ground like a violently arrogant streak of light, charging forth mindlessly without any technique!
The Law Elder gave a cold humph. The golden flying sword reversed directions, rippling with sword intent. Gripping the hilt with both hands, he drew out a thousand meter long fluttering sword qi and slashed towards the streak of light.
Between heaven and earth, all that could be seen was the green streak of light charging the thousand meter sword qi.
The two collided swiftly, pausing for a moment as the tip of the sword and point of the light began erupting intense white light.
In an instant, it flashed brightly, illuminating several thousand meters all around, covering everything.
After half a breath.
The green streak of light stubbornly charged forward under the thousand meter sword intent, arrogantly shooting towards the Law Elder!
"Roll away!"
The Law Elder yelled furiously. His whole body bulged with green veins as he spat out a mouthful of heart's blood onto the golden flying sword, forcibly propelling the sword intent forward another thousand meters, slashing down with all his might!
The green streak of light could no longer advance, falling back the way it came and smashing heavily into the ground, creating a crater where it collided with the giant sword below, resulting in a loud clang of resonating metal.
"Huff huff."
The Law Elder's complexion was flushed red, the corners of his mouth still stained with blood. He panted heavily for breath, hands trembling as they gripped the golden flying sword.
Chen Xia's charge had truly been rather terrifying.
But fortunately, he had won the first exchange.
The hardest part was the start, now that he had won the initial clash, he could keep winning!
That was the Law Elder's thinking.
Yet the crater below suddenly exploded outwards. A figure strode out from the earth and sand, not unharmed exactly, but at most just some disheveled and tattered clothing, with additional pitted holes.
Chen Xia manifested some pure sword intent in his hand, using it to wrap up his slightly overlong hair, revealing his refined features.
Then smoothly tearing off his tattered right sleeve, both his hands were now shrouded in imposing sword intent, fluttering about, casting a hundred million sword shadows.
"If this is all you've got, then I'd advise you to stop boasting in the future." Chen Xia spoke plainly, starting to stride forward.
Grayish-white colors instantly crowded the entire sky, on par with the golden sword qi.
Several dozen kilometers away, the formal disciples and elders watched the scene tensely, not even daring to blink their eyes.
"Chen Xia is truly courting the wrath of heaven! First killing Qiong Qi, and now fighting the Fourth Law Elder!"
"Is it that he's too extraordinary, or am I too inferior?"
The official disciples' discussions rose and fell, simply unable to understand how such things could happen within the Blue Sky Sword Sea.
Within the official disciple area, a cave residence slowly opened.
A figure with scarlet eyebrows walked out, without any hesitation, swiftly heading towards the battle.
In the sword forest, the big yellow dog carrying a broom hurriedly rushed out the bronze gate, sprinting forward on all fours.
It might not be able to help, but taking a hit for Chen Xia was still possible.
Another intense collision sounded out from the heavens, the terrifying aura bursting forth, tearing open the void and shaking the cloud layers.
The collisions continued one after another, showing no signs of stopping at all. The spiritual energy within the void trembled incessantly.
The disciples could only see a giant sword and a streak of light clashing.
Yet another official disciple emerged from a cave residence, striding step by step into the air, sitting cross-legged high above as he watched the battle with great interest.
He was the second ranked formal disciple, an Emperor species named Jia Bai.
Not far away, another cave residence that had been in secluded cultivation for a thousand years slowly opened. A tall figure stepped out, his aura like the descent of gods, advancing unhurriedly.
Jia Bai couldn't help but sigh at how lively this battle was, even the number one who had been in seclusion for two thousand years came out to watch.
It was truly interesting from all perspectives.
