Write a Book Let Me Learn

"Their mother is in Huaxia? Then why were they being hunted down in Huaxia?"

"Who knows?" Meng Xingyao glanced at the sisters and said, "Just recently, they've been designated as high-priority protected individuals by the Executors. Their identities and backgrounds have been classified by Huaxia, and we don't have the clearance to know. The Executors must have discovered their true identities."

"The Executors will come soon to take them away, probably to reunite them with their mother."

"From what I understand, their mother should be the leader of a Japanese organization in Huaxia. After all, with the Uesugi surname, there's only one organization in Huaxia that carries such prestige."

Meng Xingyao shrugged helplessly, looking at Su Ze with a sense of shared misfortune, "Neither of us stands a chance anymore."

Su Ze hadn't known about this. Though he and Meng Xingyao were of the same rank, he hadn't received any notification. It seemed that everything Meng Xingyao knew came from questioning Uesugi Chigenki.

"What do you mean neither of us stands a chance?" Uesugi Chigenki felt something odd about those words.

"I don't know what I meant by that." Meng Xingyao took advantage of Uesugi Chigenki's innocence, shrugging carelessly and pretending ignorance.

Su Ze's mouth twitched slightly; when it came to shamelessness, Meng Xingyao was his equal.

"So, am I still Uesugi Akizuki's guarantor? With their mother being so powerful, these two probably aren't undocumented anymore, right?"

Su Ze knew about that Uesugi organization in Huaxia, though he couldn't quite remember its exact name. He only knew it was a Japanese organization that maintained good relations with Huaxia.

Su Ze took out his phone and checked the Forerunner website. His status as Uesugi Akizuki's guarantor had already been removed, which meant that once the Executors took the two sisters away, his responsibilities would be complete.

The reason it took the Executors so long to verify the girls' identities was because of the blood moon these past few days.

With the nation facing natural disasters, they hadn't had time to deal with these matters.

Though their meeting was by chance, it still counted as fate. Su Ze didn't plan to give Uesugi Akizuki his contact information. Despite being reluctant to part with the innocent girl, he didn't want to get involved with that organization. He'd heard that in Japan, that organization was treated as public enemy number one.

Seeing an SUV approaching in the distance, Su Ze said to the innocent girl, "Be good, remember to stay happy and don't cry. I'll be back soon."

Confused, Uesugi Akizuki tilted her head slightly. Though uncertain why, she had an ominous feeling, but she still obediently nodded.

Su Ze turned and left, walking into Meng Xingyao's residence.

Meng Xingyao and Uesugi Chigenki watched this scene with complex expressions.

Uesugi Chigenki didn't know how her sister had spent these past few days, but she could see that she was very happy. Since losing her memory, she had become very obedient, and her obvious fondness for Su Ze suggested he had treated her well.

Soon, the Executors' vehicle pulled up beside them. Two Executors spoke cordially with Uesugi Chigenki and showed their credentials.

Uesugi Chigenki looked at Meng Xingyao, and after they exchanged glances, the little witch said, "Thank you for your care. You will be compensated."

Meng Xingyao frowned slightly, suddenly becoming angry. She turned her head away with undisguised disgust and contempt, then turned to leave, muttering, "How disgusting."

Did I... say something wrong? Why such anger? I really meant to compensate you!

Uesugi Chigenki stared blankly at the departing figure, while her sister Uesugi Akizuki held her hand, looking at her sister in confusion.

The two Executors naturally understood why Meng Xingyao was angry. She was a proud person, and offering compensation for just a few days of care was rather insulting.

But they tactfully remained silent.

Looking at that departing figure, Uesugi Chigenki felt inexplicably lonely. She tried not to dwell on it and moved to get in the car with her sister, but found that her sister was pulling at her hand. Upon seeing the Executors' vehicle, she seemed to understand what was happening. She desperately tugged at her sister, her eyes panicked and pleading, "Wait for him, don't leave!"

No matter how her sister tried to persuade her, she kept shaking her head, tears falling steadily as she tried to break free from her sister's grip to run toward where Su Ze had gone, but couldn't escape.

"Little brother, looks like you've got a chance. I can't believe you managed to tame her in such a short time when I couldn't even tame her sister," Meng Xingyao remarked in amazement as she watched Uesugi Akizuki's unwavering devotion to Su Ze through the window. She suddenly asked, "How did you do it? Maybe you should write a book about it, so I can learn?"

"..." Su Ze remained silent for a moment before smiling slightly, "I'll tell you the secret to winning girls over - it's all about being cool."

"That line is such a classic," Meng Xingyao smiled.

"I'm feeling a bit guilty now, like I'm the bad guy," Su Ze sighed, seeing the little shrine maiden's heartbroken expression, he wasn't in the mood to joke with Meng Xingyao anymore.

An invisible clone stepped out from his body. After the clone went downstairs, his consciousness transferred to it, while his original body that had stayed with Meng Xingyao became the clone.

When the real Su Ze walked out of the residence, Uesugi Akizuki saw him and burst forth with energy, her mid-stage Candlelight Realm power making the air distort. The force was enough to make Uesugi Chigenki's arm go numb, causing her to release her grip. Her sister ran out and threw herself into Su Ze's arms.

Su Ze could feel his shirt getting soaked with tears that seemed to burn through to his heart. Looking at the girl crying silently in his arms, he found himself at a loss for words. After a while, he finally stroked the shrine maiden's wine-red hair:

"Didn't I say I'd be back? Why are you crying?"

The little shrine maiden continued crying silently into his chest. Su Ze sighed helplessly, picked up the innocent girl, and got into the Executors' vehicle under Uesugi Chigenki's surprised gaze. He gestured for Uesugi Chigenki to get in as well.

The Executors also got in, and the vehicle started moving.

Though Su Ze had many questions, he understood protocol and didn't ask, as the sisters' files and backgrounds had been classified.

Uesugi Chigenki had stayed with Meng Xingyao for several days, but even she couldn't get much information. Uesugi Chigenki was very tight-lipped, and most of what they knew came from indirect questioning.

Uesugi Chigenki wanted to take her sister back, as it seemed strange for her sister to be crying in a stranger's arms.

After all, they weren't a couple or anything.

Though this man had taken care of her sister for several days, it still seemed inappropriate to her.

Despite these thoughts, Uesugi Chigenki didn't act on them, after all, Su Ze was considered her sister's lifesaver.

"I'm coming with you, don't worry," Su Ze gently comforted the little shrine maiden who had just stopped crying, "Would you like to take a nap?"
