Desperate Situation

This was what she had been praying for all along.

In front of the person she loved, she could see herself as worthless. It didn’t matter if she got hurt, as long as he remained unharmed.

And now, Su Ze was in the midst of a fierce battle, while she could only pray.

If her death could ensure Su Ze’s safety, she wouldn’t hesitate for a moment.

Boom!

The dome above suddenly shook violently. Little Huanhuan lost her balance and nearly fell, but Situ Jiajia caught her just in time, saving her adorable yet pitiful face from hitting the ground.

This tremor wasn’t as severe as the one caused by the desiccated monster earlier.

Above the bomb shelter, Su Ze had taken a direct punch from the desiccated monster and then slashed it back with his blade!

The desiccated monster, having landed a punch on Su Ze, was first shocked, then overjoyed with excitement!

It seemed to have discovered something!

Its gaze turned mocking as it stared at Su Ze.

Su Ze’s chest was bleeding profusely, his flesh torn apart by the monster’s punch.

Here, he dared not use large-scale destructive techniques, fearing the collapse of the bomb shelter.

Su Ze’s straight blade and longsword were engulfed in blue flames, and the pressure of his laws erupted once more.

The two sides clashed again!

It was clear that the desiccated monster’s attacks were now primarily aimed at the bomb shelter!

Su Ze had no choice but to intercept each of its strikes.

...

The battle in Wei City was gradually reaching a stalemate.

Since the Colnado Beast broke free from its restraints and stepped into the next realm, the once overwhelming advantage had begun to crumble.

Pei Jun’s body was riddled with wounds, some deep enough to reveal bone. He roared as he clashed head-on with the Colnado Beast, relieving immense pressure from the others.

Uesugi Akizuki, drenched in blood, licked her crimson lips and, after a moment of silence, said, “Buy me some time.”

With just those words, the expressions of those around her grew complicated.

Given the current situation, killing the severely wounded Colnado Beast would likely cost the lives of one or two people.

In China, the distribution of laws hadn’t been allocated to the higher-ups because the prodigies had a greater chance of breaking through to the Rolling Flame Realm.

It was an unknown realm.

Both Su Ze and Mo Ziang had already attained their laws, with Mo Ziang’s being the most vast.

They knew that relying solely on Rolling Flame Realm experts wouldn’t be enough to withstand the increasingly powerful natural disasters and invasions from other worlds. Their only hope lay in these young prodigies.

Fortunately, both of them were making progress. One had reached the early stage of the Lamp Realm, while the other was at the mid-stage.

There was hope that they would break through to the Rolling Flame Realm in a few years.

With their strength, it wouldn’t be a problem for an early Rolling Flame Realm expert to kill a late-stage one.

Mo Ziang was the most promising prodigy China had. Despite having only a faint grasp of his laws and being at the mid-stage of the Lamp Realm, he had managed to kill a prodigy from another world who also possessed laws!

After seizing the other’s laws, his own had grown immensely powerful!

While most countries were struggling to obtain laws and handing them over to their strongest veterans, China had already set its sights on the future.

They entrusted their laws to the younger prodigies who were more likely to grow stronger, while the veterans used their own bodies to shield these prodigies from the storm, ensuring their growth.

Uesugi Akizuki was the most respected and powerful figure in Japan, but due to various reasons, she had defected to China.

...

Uesugi Akizuki stepped away from the battlefield, her fingers tracing a formation in the air. A chilling, sinister aura surrounded her as her body began to transform into a demonic state.

Under the brilliant glow of the massive formation, her sleeves billowed, and her long hair danced in the wind. Two slightly curved horns grew from her forehead, and while her beautiful features became slightly more ferocious, she remained stunning.

“Ninth Seal of the Upper Realm, Great Demon Heavenly Might!”

Her left hand slowly vanished, dissolving into mist.

The others quickly retreated.

Uesugi Akizuki raised her longsword.

In an instant, an overwhelming pressure of laws erupted, crushing down on the Colnado Beast.

The beast struggled to escape the area but to no avail.

As her sword descended, the beast slowly turned into a pile of rotten flesh before exploding into a rain of blood and gore.

...

Endless flames engulfed the desiccated monster!

Su Ze was desperately trying to push the monster away from the bomb shelter, but it was an arduous task.

The desiccated monster gathered all its strength and launched a fierce strike at the bomb shelter!

Su Ze sped over to block it once again.

But this time, the monster suddenly changed its attack! A punch landed squarely on Su Ze’s head!

Boom!

Little Huanhuan felt dizzy from the shockwave that rippled through the ground, and a sense of foreboding washed over her.

The desiccated monster raised its fist for another strike!

No matter how hard Su Ze struggled, his head had already been struck so hard that he lost his sense of direction, his vision blurring as he momentarily lost the ability to fight.

If this punch landed, it would be fatal!

Su Ze’s face twisted in agony as he resisted, the pressure of his laws erupting once more, turning the area within hundreds of meters upside down!

The desiccated monster’s expression was equally ferocious. Its fist moved in slow motion under the pressure of the laws, its skin cracking and turning to ash. But it was relentless! It was determined to kill Su Ze, even if it had to endure the crushing pressure of the laws!

A sudden change occurred!

A straight blade pierced through the battlefield of laws! A young man, enduring the pressure, charged in!

The laws were targeted at the monster, and most of their power was directed at it. But even the residual force was enough to severely injure the young man.

Thanks to his intervention, Su Ze’s brief dizziness faded, and his sense of direction gradually returned.

The monster had lost an arm to the sudden attack!

After such a prolonged battle, Su Ze’s latest eruption of power had pushed him to his limit.

The pressure of the laws suddenly vanished.

Yet, the monster still had enough strength to deliver another devastating punch!

Boom!

Su Ze was smashed into the ground.

But he wasn’t dead. The laws and the young man’s assistance had bought him enough time to weaken the monster’s punch.

Just as the monster was about to deliver another strike, the young man, now covered in wounds from the residual laws, charged forward once more! He raised his blade and slashed!

But the monster was prepared this time. A punch sent the young man flying, blood spurting from his mouth. He didn’t fly far, though.

The monster grabbed him by the neck, quickly picked up Su Ze’s longsword from the ground, and drove it through the young man’s throat!

The young man’s life faded, and he knelt there, pinned in place.

The straight blade he had been holding spun through the air before landing on the ground, only to be snatched up by the desiccated monster, who then thrust it toward Su Ze’s head!

Thud!

Blood splattered!

The blade pierced a few centimeters into Su Ze’s forehead.

Su Ze’s face contorted in pain as he gripped the blade with both hands, his palms bleeding profusely as the blade cut into them. Blood streamed down the blade and onto his face.

“You… die!” Su Ze roared, but the blade had already pierced his skull, the edge slicing into his brain.

The monster roared as well, putting more force into its grip, driving the blade deeper!

Su Ze’s pupils dilated, his vision fading.

Hmm… everyday life is easier to write. Battles are a pain to describe.

But I’ve started to get the hang of it, and I believe tomorrow will be better.

I plan to move out this Saturday, and by then, I might be able to update more frequently.

I also wish everyone a better tomorrow.
