Emily softly chanted the spell, always making strange sounds for no apparent reason.
After a few minutes, she decided to give up: "Can't cast it. This spell is too convoluted, making me always bite my tongue and unable to concentrate like you said."
"It's okay, you definitely can do it. I can cast it so there's no way my daughter can't," Rosa Linda patted Emily's shoulder.
Lin Feng watched from the sidelines but could only helplessly shake his head.
Spirit attributes B and D, although only one letter apart, were worlds apart in terms of innate magic talent.
Emily really might not be able to learn it.
"Maybe your tongue is more agile? Mine is more clumsy," Emily stuck out her little tongue.
In terms of agility, Lin Feng felt Emily was indeed a bit clumsy.
But Rosa Linda's, he didn't know.
Lin Feng glanced at Yuna's experience bar.
From earlier until now, she had taken out at least five stone men.
But she was still far from leveling up.
Lin Feng went up and patted Yuna's shoulder, "Come back, let's keep moving. I'll help craft your weapon first before considering leveling up."
"Don't we have to go through here to get to the dwarven lands? If we don't kill these rock monsters, how do we get past?" Yuna blinked her big eyes and tiptoed to look at the dense mass of stone men up ahead.
That cute appearance made Lin Feng unable to resist flicking her tail.
Yuna's body shook and she turned back to look at him somewhat resentfully, "Master, it's dangerous here. No flicking tails."
"Just follow me and you'll be fine," Lin Feng waved at the few beastwomen and walked straight ahead.
Seeing the stone men surround them, Rosa Linda felt somewhat uneasy.
From time to time she would slightly raise her bow.
Emily and Yuna who were used to big scenes were completely nonchalant.
They knew being around Lin Feng was the safest.
"How can you two be so calm? They've surrounded us," Rosa Linda shot an arrow through a stone man.
"Master will protect us well," Yuna secretly looked at Lin Feng with admiration.
She was fortunate enough earlier to witness Lin Feng reveal his might when gathering magic crystals.
Piles of monsters were swept away in an instant, leaving only rubble behind.
Since then, Yuna had secretly viewed Lin Feng as a rival, thinking about how she could win if they fought.
But from Lin Feng's performance, it seemed like aside from directly throwing her greatsword at him, she had no other way to attack him.
"What are you thinking about?" Lin Feng glanced back at Yuna and asked in puzzlement.
"I'm thinking about how to defeat Master,"
"Oh? This little chick thinks highly of herself?" Lin Feng slapped her butt, "Still too early for that."
Seeing these two chatting so happily amidst the monster horde, Rosa Linda couldn't stand it anymore.
"You definitely can't run out and randomly tell others what you see later," Lin Feng raised his brows at Rosa Linda. Out of these beastwomen, only she hadn't been told yet.
Rosa Linda was confused, "Tell what? I feel like we're going to die here?"
"Shh, less bad luck talk. Just watch my performance,"
"???"
Just as Rosa Linda wanted to retort, she discovered Lin Feng seemed to mutter something. A devastating power instantly exploded around them.
Countless stone men were as if crushed by some invisible force, reduced to piles of white powder.
Rosa Linda still hadn't recovered.
She looked at Lin Feng in shock and sized him up even more carefully.
Looking to be only in his twenties, how could he grasp such terrifying magic?
She swallowed and observed the affected range.
Everything within ten meters turned to dust.
Those twenty meters away became rubble.
Stone men thirty meters out basically disintegrated from the pressure.
Damn.
If the stone men were living humans instead, they would probably all turn to meat paste.
"What magic is this? So frightening," Rosa Linda's tone contained some awe.
"This is secret. Everything you saw today cannot be divulged," Lin Feng was slightly stern.
Rosa Linda froze before quickly nodding, "I understand."
She looked at Emily and Yuna, "You two aren't surprised at all. Have you seen this many times already?"
"I saw him crush a twenty to thirty meter long snake into paste in the forest when looking for medicine. I knew then he was powerful," although Emily said this, her face was still nonchalant.
"From my observations, Master seems basically invincible within ten meters. To defeat him, I'd have to launch a sneak attack from a great distance or strike when he's unguarded," Yuna gently stroked her chin, looking contemplative.
"He's not completely invincible at long range though... a sneak attack still has some chance of taking him out..."
"Doesn't seem to work. She directly bounced my arrow away last time, then grabbed me like a chicken..."
Hearing them exchange intel and discuss how to defeat him, Lin Feng strangely found it amusing.
Although their analysis was shallow, some points were correct.
"Alright alright, what wife plots every day about how to kill her husband?" Lin Feng slapped their butts.
But even this didn't stop the beastwomen's discussion.
Seeing the darkening sky, Lin Feng found a cave they stayed in previously and had them rest.
"Master, what magic was that? Tell us,"
"Yes yes, dear, hiding things makes me...uncomfortable."
Lin Feng raised a finger and slowly said, "Smart women know when to shut up appropriately."
The beastwomen quieted at his words.
They didn't want to seem stupid.
As for why he didn't tell them, Lin Feng had his own considerations.
To be honest, if there were other transmigrators like him in this world, prying open these three's mouths would be too simple.
Not telling them was also for his own good.
"I'll tantalize you all first. At the right time, I'll tell you," Lin Feng rubbed Yuna's head gently and said softly, "Just focus on leveling up for now."
"Also, winter isn't completely over and it's still a bit cold. Can you all squeeze together with me for warmth?"
Although he told Emily in the afternoon that not learning magic would lead to bullying at night, there were too many people now and he couldn't freely take liberties, so Lin Feng gave up.
The beastwomen looked at each other. Other than Rosa Linda, they leapt into his arms.
Rosa Linda consciously hugged herself.
"Why aren't you coming over?" Lin Feng looked puzzled.
"Me? I don't feel that cold so I won't squeeze,"
If she didn't feel cold, why did she previously ask Lin Feng to warm her blanket?
Wasn't she talking crap?
"Blowing smoke huh? I know you really want to squeeze in," Lin Feng crooked a finger at her.
Rosa Linda observed them for a bit before generously sitting next to Lin Feng and squeezing in as well.
"Just getting some warmth, no big deal."
Originally a very normal thing, her words somehow made it sound strange.
"You all sleep at ease. It's safe here, stone men can't get in," Lin Feng stroked Yuna's beast ears and slowly closed his eyes.
