Is There Such a Good Thing in the World

Humans, monsters, mutant animals... all are living beings in this world.

Among them, monsters are the most special, not conforming to the laws long studied by humans. Therefore, many people believe that Fusion Zones brought creatures from other worlds.

But what if it was never fusion in the first place...

If certain substances merged with remnants of human spirits to create monsters, would that affect the world's ability to repair spatial rifts?

The notable characteristic of monsters is that they defy common sense - they are chaotic and disordered.

Suppose there is some substance that produces chaotic and disordered effects, interfering when the world tries to repair rifts, applying an old patch and adding various rules.

Qi Yuan shook his head.

No! This cannot explain the mythical special Fusion Zones.

Wait a minute...

He sat up suddenly. If humans can awaken Superpowers, why couldn't myths and legends from the past exist?

Moreover, the Supernatural Ability Domains of Superhumans happen to counter monsters...

If this is the world's attempt to save itself, constantly updating versions...

Qi Yuan felt a chill as he pondered deeply, suddenly feeling the malice of the vast universe focusing on him. Had he really gotten himself banned by playing too recklessly?

Would the GM catch him for cheating in reality?

Even though he was currently in a soul state, he felt a chill run down his spine.

Heh, no need to take wild speculations seriously...

Anyway, if there were no results after a while, he'd be doomed save for some small probability miracle.

As far as he knew, humans had never managed to open any sealed area.

...

At the Qi family villa in Jidu,

Several identical figures sat together. To conserve every bit of energy, the clones didn't bother using their transformation abilities.

The only clone left uninformed in the villa to provide an alibi looked utterly bewildered as the other clones briefed him on the situation.

"...So you're saying the original is about to kick the bucket?"

One of the clones said, "More or less. If we die, he dies."

"No wonder you've all been unusually active lately."

The guard clone recalled the news he had seen - members of the mysterious organization had been overly active recently, leading everyone to speculate if some big move was coming.

"That's what our original gets for being such a capitalist, serves him right to be locked in a dark room."

The clone complained, but didn't slack on the work that needed to be done.

The guard clone was speechless. "So are we going to come clean with the officials next?"

"One has already gone. He's probably sweet-talking them now. We don't have time to wait, or we won't have enough energy to keep going."

To maintain activity levels, the mysterious organization needed to take turns making appearances.

Their method of appearing was to clear monsters, which consumed a lot of energy each time.

Guard clone: "...You only tell me now? Why not wait until the original is dead to inform me?"

"You were the farthest away. If it weren't for needing to guide Gao Changze to expose Wei Zhiming, we might not have come back to tell you."

The guard clone felt isolated by himself, but to avoid wasting energy, he had to swallow his pride: "I've already fabricated the information into the plan."

With a slight mental suggestion to Wei Zhiming to keep some evidence as insurance against being silenced by the original. The thought process matched Wei Zhiming's personality, so constant control of the suggestion wasn't necessary.

The conversation between the "individuals" continued until a phone rang, silencing the discussion.

The guard clone frowned and picked up the phone. The caller was Gao Changze - speak of the devil.

On the other end, Gao Changze handed the phone to Yin Qingran with both hands, then quickly fled the scene under her glare.

Heaven knows, how could he have known the Qi family had such an identity!

Before Yin Qingran could grab Gao Changze, the call connected. She took a deep breath nervously, her breath hitting the receiver.

The person on the other end sounded as inscrutable as ever, asking what the matter was.

Yin Qingran swallowed hard, trying to keep her voice from trembling. After about ten seconds of silence, she realized she had overestimated herself - she couldn't bring herself to speak.

Who could have imagined the Reincarnation Squad had such a meaning!

What had she done to deserve this?

Thinking of those formidable figures, Yin Qingran lost her usual composure. Even her newly discovered enemy's identity seemed unimportant now.

That bastard Gao Changze had brought up her earlier words of comfort again, forcing her to face Qi Yuan.

Yin Qingran took a deep breath, steeled herself, and shouted into the phone: "Your... your identity has been... accidentally revealed by us!"

The speakerphone volume was low, and the Qi Yuan clones leaned in incredulously, one thought echoing in their minds.

Could such good fortune really exist?!

But they only lost composure for a moment before quickly calming down.

Although they had suggested to Wei Zhiming to keep evidence nearby so it could serve as a threat if controlled by the original, the chances of Gao Changze and his team stumbling upon such a jackpot were slim.

Those three were always a step behind, how could they possibly hit the jackpot now?

The guard clone calmly asked: "What was revealed? And to whom?"

The hardest part was over. Yin Qingran composed herself and quickly explained: "Your identity as a reincarnated Common Runner has been broadcast live. It's probably all over the internet by now."

The clones: Could such good fortune really exist in this world?!

She then quickly recounted the whole story.

They had followed the lead on monster acquisitions and soon found a suspicious location.

On the way, they received a message from Lv Cheng asking them to help rescue Qiao Unlucky, who was trapped in a pit. The attached image was a screenshot from social media, and the location was nearby.

At that time, Qiao Unlucky had encountered a slight problem, inadvertently summoning an unknown red-haired Dark Nine Seats member.

When the five met, Gao Changze immediately recognized the trademark red hair and promptly employed his blame-shifting skills to rope Hong Feiheng into the group.

During their exploration, Qiao Bai fully utilized his passive ability, accidentally uncovering the hidden documents. Gao Changze determined something was off about that place and, to make a bigger scene, started a livestream midway. That's how the evidence swapped by the guard clone appeared before the netizens' eyes.

Gao Changze was shocked after reading the documents and blurted out: "Holy shit, no way! Yuan-ge's squad is actually called Reincarnation!"

Regarding this detail, perhaps out of a desire for revenge, Yin Qingran described it vividly.

-------------------------------------

This is more or less a summary.

The following plot is roughly about Qi Yuan becoming a Common Runner, then wrapping things up, and the book ends. I thought I could make the part about creating alternate identities interesting, but I was overly optimistic. With an unrestricted cheat ability where one person is an army, I couldn't find any reason for the protagonist to interact with others.

Not only was it painful for the readers, to be honest, it was painful for me to write as well.

In the first 100,000 words, I could write 8,000 words a day, but now even 4,000 is difficult. Having an outline and a backlog of chapters is really important.

I've self-reflected several times on why this happened. The main issue is my inability to control pacing. Some things should have been advanced through the plot in the early stages, but I got carried away and forgot. This led to large sections later on supplementing early settings, messing up the whole structure. As I continued writing, I felt it was falling apart more and more. I'll do my best to fill in the holes I dug and the foreshadowing I planted ( ̄▽ ̄)

The original plan to travel to other worlds is scrapped. In my current state, I can't write interesting plot lines. Forcing myself to continue would only bring misfortune. If inspiration strikes in the future, I might write it as a side story.

If following the story is becoming tedious, it's okay to put it aside. It should only be about 10-20 chapters more. If you really think the writing is too poor, it's fine to drop it here with a *ptooey*.

Finally, it's the readers' comments that have kept me going until now. Thank you once again!

Just Became Emperor, Already Assassinated by the Son of Destiny

Just Became Emperor, Already Assassinated by the Son of Destiny

e bizarre and supernatural had descended. The previous emperor was a thoroughgoing tyrant; no longer satisfied with human women, he had set his sights on a stunningly beautiful supernatural entity. He met his end in his bedchamber, drained of all his vital essence. As the legitimate eldest son and crown prince, Wang Hao was thus hastily enthroned, becoming the young emperor of the Great Zhou Dynasty. No sooner had he awakened the "Imperial Sign-In Intelligence System" than he was assassinated by a Son of Destiny—a classic villain's opening. The Great Zhou, ravaged by the former emperor's excesses, was in national decline. The great families within its borders harbored their own treacherous schemes, martial sects began to defy the imperial court's decrees, and border armies, their pay and provisions in arrears, grumbled incessantly against the central government. Fortunately, the central capital was still held secure by the half-million Imperial Guards and fifty thousand Imperial Forest Army who obeyed the court's orders, along with the royal family's hidden reserves of power, barely managing to suppress the realm. As the Great Zhou's finances worsened and supernatural activities grew ever more frequent, the court sat atop a volcano. Ambitious plotters everywhere dreamed of overthrowing the dynasty, and even some reclusive ancient powers emerged, attempting to sway the tides of the world. At the first grand court assembly, the civil and military officials nearly came to blows, fighting tooth and nail over the allocation of fifty million taels of silver from the summer tax revenues. The spectacle opened Wang Hao's eyes—the Great Zhou's bureaucracy was not only corrupt but also martially proficient, a cabinet of all-rounders. Some officials even had the audacity to suggest the emperor release funds from the imperial privy purse to address the emergency. Wang Hao suddenly felt weary. Let it all burn.
