[Intelligence: Can use psychic power to create illusions, luring and trapping targets before biting them to death. Those bitten will be transformed into zombies that can be controlled by the Slaanesh.]
[Weakness: Head]
The group followed unhurriedly, also climbing over the industrial park wall.
That "Wan Heng" seemed to be waiting for them, standing motionless once again.
"Ning Yu, should we kill him now?"
Shen Yiyue asked.
"No."
"No."
Ning Yu and Ji Mengyao spoke simultaneously, then Ning Yu glanced at her and quickly said:
"He's luring us to the first location, which is probably where the mutated zombie is."
Ji Mengyao still hadn't given up her last glimmer of hope.
Although she knew that from the moment the mutated zombie appeared, Wan Heng had no chance of survival.
As the four approached, "Wan Heng" began moving again, running toward a row of low buildings outside the park.
Following his direction, Ning Yu saw a sign.
Rose Hotel.
Somehow this sign seemed to hint at something.
"Wan Heng" soon ran straight into the hotel, its main door swaying as he entered.
The four immediately exchanged glances.
"The mutated zombie inside can create illusions. We shouldn't go in together,"
Ning Yu quickly shared the intelligence she currently knew.
"Shen Yiyue and I will take this side,"
Ning Yu pointed to the alley on the left side of the hotel, where there were windows to the hotel rooms.
Ji Mengyao and Wu Di agreed with Ning Yu's suggestion.
Though they weren't sure how Ning Yu knew about the mutated zombie's abilities, they assumed it was due to her awakened power.
They headed toward the hotel's back door.
Ning Yu and Shen Yiyue approached the window. She handed a blue T-virus immunity capsule to Shen Yiyue and took one herself.
Seeing the indented T on the capsule again, Shen Yiyue recalled Zhuang Wugou's so-called "named" T-virus.
But there wasn't time to think about that much, she quickly swallowed the capsule.
This Slaanesh could create illusions with psychic power. Ning Yu wasn't sure how strong they would be, so it was better to take the immunity capsule just in case.
Ning Yu silently removed the window from outside, then climbed in first, with Shen Yiyue following closely behind.
The room seemed unoccupied previously - the bed and table were neat, though now covered in dust.
The complimentary mineral water on the table was still new, which Ning Yu promptly stored in her storage space.
She focused her thoughts and used [Detection (Intermediate)] again.
[Detected: Slaanesh (Low Level)]
[Position: 2 o'clock direction approximately 38 meters, vertical height difference 4 meters]
Hmm? Four meters higher - did it go to the second floor?
Ning Yu walked to the room door and turned the handle.
"Raaargh!!"
A group of zombies had been waiting outside the door, immediately trying to pour into the room.
Ning Yu launched into a kick, knocking down the zombies at the door like dominoes.
"Borrowing your blade!"
Ning Yu jumped onto the bed and drew the sword from Shen Yiyue's back.
"Bang! Bang!"
Shen Yiyue bent sideways to let Ning Yu draw the sword while firing her gun.
At such close range, Shen Yiyue didn't need to use [Future Reading].
With the sword in hand, Ning Yu made a side slash, causing three zombies' heads to explode like cut watermelons.
The space was too cramped to worry about staying clean - she regretted wearing new clothes out.
Ning Yu's baseball cap inevitably got some blood on it, mixing with the blood pattern already on the cap, making it hard to distinguish what was real and what wasn't.
These ordinary zombies were just small fry, seemingly controlled by the Slaanesh to ambush them.
But they posed no threat to Ning Yu now - wherever her sword passed, zombies' heads were sliced and pierced.
Soon the doorway was flowing with blood, littered with fallen zombies.
"Thud!"
A zombie with an exploded head flew in, landing not far from Ning Yu.
Ning Yu and Shen Yiyue, who had just left the room, turned their heads to see Ji Mengyao and Wu Di - they had already fought their way in through the back door.
"Nice moves!"
Ji Mengyao twirled her axe while greeting Ning Yu.
They had both witnessed Ning Yu's sword skills against the zombies.
They had thought Ning Yu's ability was just support-type, detecting zombie weaknesses, but unexpectedly her combat ability was this strong.
Ji Mengyao assessed herself and felt she probably couldn't match Ning Yu's efficiency - in a direct fight, she likely wouldn't be able to beat Ning Yu.
"It's on the second floor."
Ning Yu looked up, indicating the floor above when she saw Ji Mengyao and Wu Di approach.
"I'll go up first to scout, since I can't die anyway,"
Ji Mengyao said, appearing fearless.
There was only one stairway to the second floor - just one path - and it seemed unwise for all four to go up together.
Wu Di crossed his hands, now wearing steel knuckles already stained with blood.
His face maintained that calm, composed expression - he was the one who had smashed that zombie's head earlier.
Ji Mengyao skillfully jumped up, landing steadily on his hands, then Wu Di suddenly thrust his braced arms upward.
The punk girl in the baseball cap was launched by Wu Di's tremendous strength, soaring through the air and firmly grabbing the second-floor railing.
The remaining three immediately started ascending the stairs.
"Something's not right."
Ning Yu noticed Ji Mengyao had gone silent right after climbing to the second floor, not telling them what the situation was up there.
However, since she couldn't die, they didn't need to worry about her safety for now.
Standing by the stair railing, Ning Yu pointed in three directions, signaling them to breach from different angles.
This mutated zombie's ability was rather mysterious.
Ning Yu slapped the railing and took the lead charging up the front.
Wu Di and Shen Yiyue jumped and grabbed the stair railings, planning to climb up from the sides.
The entire second floor was fairly open and flat. Ning Yu immediately saw Ji Mengyao standing motionless, as if petrified.
Turning her head, Ning Yu saw a young female zombie with pink hair and grayish-white skin that looked remarkably human.
She was wearing a sexy black bunny girl costume, complete with matching bunny ears.
If not for her zombie-characteristic gray-white skin, she could easily have been mistaken for a normal human female - her outfit particularly resembled that of a call girl.
Most terrifying were her eyes - pure black with pink hearts flickering in the center.
Those eyes seemed to possess a magical power - just one look made Ning Yu feel dizzy, as if being pulled in.
"Careful! Don't look into her eyes!"
Ning Yu called out in warning, but it was already too late.
Shen Yiyue and Wu Di, who had just climbed up, had already become petrified, all their movements frozen in place.
Ning Yu herself quickly fell into endless illusions.
