Outside stood Police Chief Raymond and his young assistant Leon.
Both were covered in blood, supporting each other. As the door swung open, they stumbled inside, collapsing onto the floor.
"Chief!?" Luo Wei rushed to help Raymond up, but the man was too weak to stand.
"Chief, what happened?" Evelyn asked, equally shocked. "Why are you two here?"
Raymond lifted his head with difficulty, his eyes darting nervously toward the door. "Close... close the door first..."
"Is something following you?" Evelyn quickly scanned the area outside, but the thick fog made it impossible to see far.
Once the door was securely locked, Raymond finally let out a sigh of relief.
Luo Wei was about to ask what had happened when Leon suddenly sat up, his eyes wide with panic.
His eyes were bloodshot, and he was in a state of sheer terror.
He screamed hysterically:
