"What's going on?"
The situation was truly bizarre at this moment. Even Helena stopped trying to force-feed Luo Wei medicine and instead turned a vigilant gaze towards the corpse.
In the dim firelight, the corpse with its chest cavity torn open, which by all rights should have been completely dead... had now sat up halfway.
To Luo Wei's surprise, Teacher Evelyn stiffly turned her neck, then slowly shifted her gaze in his direction.

Her arms burst open with a crack, and six tentacles shot towards Evelyn simultaneously.
But at the same time, a cold gust of wind suddenly swept through.
All the kerosene lamps in the basement went out at once, plunging Luo Wei's vision into total darkness.
In the pitch-black environment, he could only hear the sounds of intense fighting.
Everything happening now was completely unexpected to him.
He had been planning to stall until his skill cooldown ended, then try to soothe Helena's emotions once more.
But who would have thought that the seemingly gentle and mild-mannered Teacher Evelyn actually had abilities like this?
It seemed that none of the characters who could be romanced in the game were to be underestimated.
Taking advantage of the two of them fighting in the dark, Luo Wei used all his strength to shake his hands and feet.
But because the straps were tied too tightly, he couldn't break free no matter how hard he tried.
Luo Wei could only strain to stand on tiptoe, awkwardly dragging the heavy chair as he tried to inch towards the exit.
Just then, in the darkness, a cold wind suddenly swept by.

But surprisingly, no one stopped him from escaping. Instead, a knife handle was pressed into his hand.
Luo Wei immediately breathed a sigh of relief - it must be Teacher Evelyn.
He hadn't expected that even at a time like this, she was still thinking of saving him.
Luo Wei quickly gripped the knife handle and tried to use the serrated edge to cut through the straps binding his arms.
Meanwhile, the battle continued in the darkness. As Luo Wei worked frantically, he nervously tried to observe the fight in the blackness.
His eyes had adjusted somewhat to the dark, and Luo Wei could vaguely see that Helena's tentacles had pierced through Teacher Evelyn's body several times.
But Teacher Evelyn only let out a muffled groan, her movements still swift and fierce. She grabbed another knife and began hacking away at Helena's tentacles.
A thick smell of blood permeated the room as Helena let out angry roars.
The teacher was unbelievably strong...
The serrated knife in his hand kept sawing away, stroke after stroke, as fast as he could manage.
Since the straps were so tough, Luo Wei steeled himself and increased the force.
With a final "crack", the last cut was so forceful that it even sliced a deep gash in his arm. Blood immediately sprayed out.
But Luo Wei was far past caring about that now. Ignoring the searing pain, he broke free of the strap on his right hand and immediately went to work on the bindings on his left.
"Big brother!!"
Helena suddenly noticed Luo Wei's escape attempt. With a murderous look, she charged straight towards him.
A tentacle shot out towards the back of his head. At this point, half of Luo Wei's body was free to move. Gritting his teeth, he swung his head back and slashed with the knife.
Helena let out an enraged cry. After a section of her tentacle was severed, she charged at Luo Wei even more frantically.
"What a pain! What kind of monster is your sister anyway??" Evelyn's speed was incredible as her entire body slammed into Helena like a cannonball.
The two of them crashed into the wall with tentacles flailing, causing the basement to shake with a thunderous rumble.
Because Teacher Evelyn's health bar was so thick, even though Helena was more ferocious, she simply couldn't find a way to kill her in one hit. This led to the two of them grappling and wrestling together, neither able to gain the upper hand for the moment.
"She's a Shoggoth, a half-breed Shoggoth!" Luo Wei had freed himself from all restraints by now. Clutching his wounded arm, he shouted back:
"The heart! Her weakness is her human heart!!"
"Got it! What a hassle!" Teacher Evelyn's voice rang out in exasperation.
But after Luo Wei revealed the weakness, Helena's entire body exploded with a burst of murderous energy. This tremendous force sent Teacher Evelyn flying.
Four tentacles swiftly impaled her wrists and ankles, while a fifth coiled tightly around Teacher Evelyn's slender neck.
Teacher Evelyn let out an agonized groan.
"You!!!"
Seeing Evelyn restrained, those twisted, crazed eyes immediately locked onto Luo Wei.
"You betrayed me!!"
The final tentacle lashed out at lightning speed towards Luo Wei's head.
But Luo Wei had already reacted faster, scrambling and rolling out of the basement.
Ignoring the excruciating pain in his arm, he slammed his body against the basement door, sealing it shut with all his might.
At the same moment, a razor-sharp tentacle pierced through the thick wooden door.
The tentacle missed Luo Wei's head by mere centimeters, causing him to break out in a cold sweat.
He had nearly been forced to reload prematurely. Although Luo Wei wasn't afraid of death now, he couldn't afford to waste any chances to go back in time.
He immediately lifted the door latch, locking the basement securely.
Then, without looking back, he charged upstairs.
He had to move fast!
From the looks of it, Teacher Evelyn wouldn't be able to hold out much longer. The gap in their abilities was still quite large.
Luo Wei ran quickly up to the second floor, leaving a trail of blood from his hand.
He found the vase where he had originally hidden the potion and reached in with his left hand to pull out the glass vial.
Although Helena's Pollution Level was now too high for any amount of relationship-building to lower it to a containable level today,
Having this was still better than nothing.
For supernatural powers, especially for those who had already gone mad from backlash, Pollution Level was directly correlated to danger level.
If they could lower her Pollution Level even a little bit, the chances of victory for himself and Teacher Evelyn would increase.
With a tremendous boom from below, Luo Wei nervously looked back.
That terrifying cold aura continued to spread outwards like maggots on rotting flesh, rapidly surging towards the second floor.
Luo Wei barely had time to see clearly. He only caught a glimpse of a mass of writhing, flailing tentacles as it leapt onto the second-floor gallery. It had taken less than ten seconds to go from the basement to upstairs.
Helena was truly enraged...
She probably had nothing but thoughts of killing him in her mind now...
"Big brother... hehehe, big brother, I found you..."
"I finally found you!!!"
Even Helena's voice was unlike her usual self, now a series of ear-piercing, harsh shrieks.
Her current appearance was even more horrifying than before.
Helena appeared on the opposite side of the gallery. Not only had both her arms transformed into wildly thrashing tentacles, but her skirt was also bulging and undulating. Underneath the fabric lurked a massive, swollen, writhing mass oozing with slime...

This was a sight that would instantly drive any normal person insane if they so much as glimpsed it. Even with Luo Wei's high sanity, seeing such an abomination slowly creeping towards him made his blood run cold. An oily, slimy sensation of revulsion washed over him, causing his whole body to tremble involuntarily.
"Big brother..."
"I'm coming... I'm coming..."
