Don't Be Afraid, Brother Is Here

Evelyn, consumed by rage, pursued Luo Wei through the old mansion with lethal intent.

Countless black tentacles followed closely behind her.

As the three engaged in their chase, the once-quiet mansion hall erupted with a cascade of shattering objects.

A cold chill swept over him as Luo Wei glanced behind - the Blood-colored Blade was less than half a meter away.

"I'll kill you!!"

Evelyn's furious voice followed immediately after.

As the Pollution Level rose sharply, not only did Evelyn grow stronger, but her entire countenance seemed to transform into someone else entirely.

The elegant teacher who once called herself an "artist of blood" had been completely replaced by something twisted and grotesque.

It seemed that "betrayal" had touched some forbidden nerve deep within her psyche.

"Don't hurt my brother!"

Black tentacles materialized instantly.

They extended like vines, wrapping around Evelyn's wrists and ankles, significantly slowing her supernatural speed.

"You damned monster!"

After Helena tripped her to the ground, Evelyn rose and furiously slashed at the tentacles.

This time, even the scale-covered tentacles were no match for her. In her blood-powered frenzy, Evelyn's Blood-colored Blade seemed absolutely unstoppable.

She chopped through the tentacles binding her ankles as easily as cutting vegetables.

Helena winced in pain, staring in shock at the murderous figure before her.

It had only been a few days since their last battle, yet her power had increased so dramatically?

There was even a sense that she might now be... stronger than herself.

Helena's brow furrowed deeply.

No matter what, even if she really was stronger, it didn't matter!

She absolutely couldn't let her harm her brother!!

Every time Helena lost a tentacle to the blade, a new one would appear. Her entire body recklessly surged toward that blood-colored shadow filled with killing intent.

A wave of mental pollution burst forth simultaneously.

Luo Wei's legs weakened, and he nearly collapsed.

He clutched his head in pain and quickly looked back.

Although Evelyn had suddenly become incredibly violent, any rational being would still be affected by Helena's mental pollution.

She gripped the Blood-colored Blade tightly, her entire body trembling.

Yet even in this state, she hadn't lost her ability to think. Instead, she realized that to kill Luo Wei, she would first need to deal with this troublesome monster before her.

Thick Blood Mist spread throughout the living room, and the life force drawn from both Luo Wei and Helena rapidly healed the various holes piercing her body.

Fighting through her physical discomfort, Evelyn suddenly turned and thrust unexpectedly at Helena's chest.

Helena's heart skipped a beat.

The tentacles quickly wrapped around her vital points, transforming her into a black sea urchin-like form, just as in their previous battle.

Evelyn merely gave a cold laugh as her weapon transformed into a massive Blood-colored Scythe.

Then she began frantically slashing at Helena's body.

The air was filled with nothing but terrifying killing intent, black severed tentacles, dark fluid, and spraying crimson blood.

Hearing Helena's agonized screams behind him, Luo Wei suddenly stopped running.

This wasn't the time to flee!

He gripped the revolver loaded with Mithril Bullets tightly and quickly aimed at the frenzied red shadow.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Three consecutive shots.

The Mithril Bullets struck Evelyn's back, creating ripple-like effects that left large patches of charred, scorched wounds.

But that was all they did.

Evelyn's body, wrapped in blood energy, rapidly healed the skin on her back. The three silver-glowing bullets were forcefully rejected from her body, falling to the floor.

As the bullets hit the floor with a crisp sound, Evelyn's gray, pupilless eyes slowly turned toward Luo Wei's position behind her.

It was an indescribable gaze that made Luo Wei's scalp tingle.

Even when facing the joint attack from those two Special Affairs Department agents, she had never shown such hatred.

"Luo Wei..."

She dragged the Blood-colored Scythe along the ground, approaching him step by step.

"Would you like to know why your teacher left the family?"

Luo Wei gripped his revolver tightly, aiming at her approaching figure, targeting her head.

Evelyn seemed completely unconcerned.

She just laughed coldly, getting closer and closer...

"Teacher will tell you now."

"Betrayal!"

"It was betrayal!!"

The Blood-colored Scythe raised high, and Evelyn, controlled by hatred, displayed an almost maniacal smile.

"I'll show you what happens to traitors!!"

In an instant.

The sound of the revolver, Evelyn's maniacal laughter, and a thunderous explosion all merged together.

Luo Wei felt his body become like a piece of paper, thrown into the air by an immense force, flying far before crashing heavily to the ground.

What followed was a violent tumble spanning several meters. Luo Wei felt the world spinning, as if every bone in his body was about to shatter.

Only when he crashed into a wall did his body finally stop moving. By then, he was covered in blood.

But to his amazement, even after all that, he wasn't dead.

He wiped away the blood that had run into his eyes and looked up through the pain.

Evelyn's body had also landed on the ground just like his had moments ago, though her regenerative abilities left her in much better condition than him.

And Helena, the source of what had just happened, had transformed into something that shocked them both.

Corrupted, twisted flesh, human organs, eyeballs, limbs, black tendrils, and tentacles - all combined in a way that made one's scalp crawl. She had become an enormous entity, with tentacles half a meter thick, like some deep-sea monster suddenly emerging from the ocean depths.

Her vocal organs were no longer human, but one could still hear the terrible, wailing sounds that echoed throughout the old mansion.

"Bro... Brother..."

"I... no... brother... must... find..."

Luo Wei gazed painfully at the enormous being.

She seemed to have lost her vision, with thick tentacles constantly searching and probing throughout the old mansion, yet moving carefully as if afraid of hurting her brother.

That massive body searched aimlessly through the mansion, growing increasingly anxious and agitated without any response from Luo Wei.

"Bro..."

"Bro... Brother..."

Sofas were torn apart, cabinets and chandeliers shattered in succession, and the entire floor trembled slightly.

Evelyn, back on her feet, watched the giant monster warily, this unexpected development making her hesitant to act rashly.

But Luo Wei, fighting through his pain, struggled forward.

He looked at the massive body before him, this time without fear or disgust.

"Helena."

He simply gazed at her.

His voice carried both gentleness and reassurance.

"Don't be afraid."

"Brother is right here."
