This Assassin is Too Steady Chapter 168

Finally finished writing the second volume, hereby announcing to the respected readers that I will disappear for a while.

The main reason is...went off track.

This book has actually gone off track very seriously, don't know if anyone has noticed. How to put it, I am an author who often writes outlines, but after finishing the outlines, hehe, I just don't follow them when I write!

In short: went off track.

The original intention of this book was to be humorous and funny, but why did it turn out like this as I kept writing? The reason is still myself, because as I was writing, new ideas would pop up in my head, and I thought they were very interesting, so I just went with them.

The outlines and original story designs etc. are not important at all.

For example in the first volume, everything was going well in the beginning. Starting from Forgetting Enmity, I gradually went off track, and the style started to change, as everyone has seen.

Also for example in the second volume, I swear, my original intention was to bring the style back, but the result...

In fact, Lu Gaosheng's original design was not handsome, but a bit short and fat, with a cute look. And this little fatso was extremely timid, because he became the county magistrate relying on his wife.

Everyone in the city knew that the county magistrate Lu was timid and incompetent. The subsequent series of stories would also unfold around these characteristics, and the pace could be written in a very humorous way.

But why is the second volume completely different from my outline?

Because as I kept writing, I had new ideas again, redesigned it, and then successfully went off track. The humorous comedy I wanted to write was completely gone.

Now onto the third volume.

As expected, I went off track again.

But now halfway through, I suddenly realized...I can't tie it back up!!

I'm currently very frustrated. I definitely can't publish the half I've written now, because I may change it anytime, or even rewrite from scratch. This is also my current dilemma - whether to rewrite from scratch or modify.

If rewrite, the nearly 100k words I've written would be wasted. If modify, I would have to first clear up my thoughts and revise chapter by chapter.

Painful, painful.

But everyone don't need to worry about me losing inspiration, because I actually have a new idea now, although it's about a later part of the story, it makes me very excited and looking forward to it.

Compared to readers, what I look forward to the least is Zhang San cultivating into immortality, because from the first chapter, this is a set plot. What excites me usually comes from some random ideas I get, like the new idea now:

Zhang San meets Song YanShi.

But it's not that they meet and start fighting, but more like a conversation, with hatred but also rationality, I look forward to writing something between these two characters.

So please wait for me for a bit.
