Vampire Freshman Caught by the Campus Female Demon Hunter

Vampire Freshman Caught by the Campus Female Demon Hunter Chapter 57

Chen Shuo sat on the sofa, remote control in hand, wanting to find something to watch on TV.

However, he just couldn't calm his mind.

Recalling Su Xiyan's weak appearance just now, she was going to take a bath again. What if she falls asleep in the bathtub?

That would be too dangerous!

But even if she really drowns in the bathtub, what does it have to do with me? Wouldn't I regain my freedom then?

Chen Shuo's heart only hardened for two and a half seconds.

After two and a half seconds, he threw the remote onto the sofa and quickly walked to the bathroom door,

knocking: "Su Xiyan? Are you okay in there?"

Su Xiyan's voice came from the bathroom: "Hmm? What's up?"

Hearing that Su Xiyan's voice was much stronger than before, Chen Shuo finally felt relieved and let out a breath: "Nothing, just checking on you."

Now, he could finally watch TV with peace of mind.

Chen Shuo didn't know yet that at this moment inside the bathroom, Su Xiyan had a smug smile on her face as she texted her bestie Cheng Xinran.

【Xiyan, you didn't blow your cover, did you?】

【Of course not. Pretending to faint was a bit tiring. When that guy put me on the sofa, there was a pillow under my waist. I laid there for a good while and my back nearly broke!】

【That's good then! But speaking of which, Xiyan, you really went all out! Tomorrow, the entire Su City Demon Hunter Organization will have legends about you.】

Su Xiyan sighed. She really was tired. After all, everything Cheng Xinran told Chen Shuo was basically true.

In the span of five to six hours, she really did hunt down two mid-tier vampires and four low-tier vampires.

Although the process wasn't as dangerous and difficult as Cheng Xinran described, her stamina really took a huge hit.

One half of the reason Su Xiyan did this was for Chen Shuo!

Usually easy-going people really get angry when they do.

At the moment Chen Shuo got angry, Su Xiyan had the illusion that she was about to lose him.

After all, she was a demon hunter and Chen Shuo was a vampire. This was the necessary condition to maintain balance in their relationship.

Luckily, after Su Xiyan briefly told her bestie Cheng Xinran about Chen Shuo, they immediately decided to scheme against him with a sob story.

At the very least, not only was Chen Shuo not angry now, he even felt a bit apologetic towards Su Xiyan.

To Su Xiyan, this was simply a win-win situation.

She not only hunted vampires, her own realm level directly rose from Gold Tier 1 to Gold Tier 2.

More importantly, her cute little brother Chen Shuo wasn't angry at her anymore.

While chatting on her phone and soaking in the bath, Su Xiyan felt extremely comfortable, nearly lifting her legs.

Cheng Xinran sent another soul-searching question: 【Xiyan, I have a very bad premonition! I feel that you may have fallen for Chen Shuo already.】

Su Xiyan's eyelashes fluttered involuntarily for a moment. Then her complexion regained its calmness as her fingers typed on the phone: 【Chen Shuo has a lot going for him, he's just too weak. We'll see when he becomes more powerful!】

Cheng Xinran sent over several shocked emojis: 【w(?Д?)w! Xiyan, you didn't even deny what I said? Is this giving Chen Shuo a chance?】

【But you forgot, he's a vampire! If he becomes powerful, wouldn't he become your enemy? But if he remains this soft and silly little brother, with your preference for the strong, you wouldn't even look his way. Isn't that a contradiction?】

Su Xiyan: 【It's too early to talk about this now. I was just hypothesizing.】

【I'm certain he doesn't hold that important of a place in my heart yet.】

Cheng Xinran sent over a 【tsundere】 emoji pack.

Su Xiyan seemed a bit guilty, no longer wanting to continue this topic, afraid that if they kept digging deeper, Cheng Xinran would excavate all her inner thoughts. Perhaps Su Xiyan herself didn't yet have the courage to face her own heart either.

Or perhaps, she felt like something was still missing.

After enjoying a nice warm bath, Su Xiyan felt like all the fatigue in her body had been washed away.

Hunting all those vampires now turned into power within her body, integrating into each of her demon hunting skills.

Su Xiyan felt like her body and demon hunting skills had become even more powerful!

The clothes dirtied by vampire blood that Su Xiyan was previously wearing went straight into the trash can.

Wrapped in a comfortable bathrobe, a bow tied at her slender waist.

Walking around barefoot, she put on slippers when she reached the bathroom door. Su Xiyan adjusted her condition before weakly walking from the bathroom to the living room, pretending to be feeble.

Chen Shuo looked at the time: "You soaked for over twenty minutes. If you didn't come out soon, I would've barged into the bathroom!"

Su Xiyan raised an eyebrow: "Oh? Were you worried about me?"

Chen Shuo denied it arrogantly: "No I wasn't! If you drowned in the bathtub, the police uncle would come and not even jumping into the Yellow River could wash me clean."

"I definitely wasn't worried about you! I was only thinking of myself. Don't think too much."

Su Xiyan rubbed her starving belly: "Chen Shuo, I'm hungry."

Chen Shuo rolled his eyes at Su Xiyan: "Who told you not to eat dinner?"

Although he said that, Chen Shuo's body was very honest. He got ingredients from the fridge and went into the kitchen.

Su Xiyan followed behind Chen Shuo without going into the kitchen to disturb him. Like a lazy little kitten, she lazily leaned against the door frame watching Chen Shuo cook.

Chen Shuo's movements were very skilled. One look and you could tell he often cooked.

When making midnight snacks before, Chen Shuo would always make noodles for Su Xiyan, all kinds of noodles, because they were simple and convenient.

Tonight's snack wasn't noodles.

Chen Shuo took some steak out of the fridge and put it in the microwave to thaw.

Then in a frying pan he put butter and melted it. He pan fried both sides of the steak until golden brown and sprinkled black pepper.

In another small pot he was cooking fresh meat dumplings, crystal clear.

After a few minutes the steak was done. The dumplings were translucent and a soft boiled egg was placed to the side in a small dish.

Chen Shuo brought the steak to the table: "When I was little my grandma said to eat beef when exhausted."

"There was no beef in the fridge, only steak, so just make do."

"Also, I cooked the steak well done. We don't need to follow the Western custom, our tradition is to eat fully cooked food."

It was Su Xiyan's first time trying a well done steak. The crispy aroma on both sides paired with the thoroughly cooked steak gave off an unexpectedly fragrant smell.

She took two bites and handed the knife and fork to Chen Shuo: "You know what I mean right?"

Chen Shuo took the cutlery with confusion: "I'm not hungry."

Su Xiyan: "......"

"I don't have the strength to cut the steak, help me cut it."
