The Heavenly Demon Sect, Zongheng Valley.
Su Luo, having relied on the Crystal Core, successfully met with Wei Changli.
Entering his domain, there were three people present: Wei Changli and his two subordinates.
Su Luo casually tossed the Crystal Core onto the table, then found a chair to sit in, leaning back comfortably.
He acted as if it were his own home, completely at ease.
"Meeting you is really not easy, Wei Changli," Su Luo said.
Su Luo's return with the Crystal Core made Wei Changli quite pleased, but Su Luo's current attitude was something Wei Changli did not appreciate.
Wei Changli could afford to disregard Su Luo, but Su Luo could not afford to disregard Wei Changli.
Instead of lecturing, Wei Changli took direct action, launching a devastating Extreme Cold Ghost Fist.
Without any surprises, the attack landed squarely on Su Luo.
Wei Changli turned around, dusting off his hands, and said, "No one taught you etiquette, huh? I hope this strike reminds you of your place."
With this blow, Wei Changli estimated that Su Luo would be laid up for at least ten days.
However, not only was Su Luo unharmed.
"Indeed, no one told me the etiquette. Why don't you enlighten me?"
It was actually one of Wei Changli's subordinates who collapsed instead.
He coughed up blood, suddenly attacked, and had no idea what had happened. The pain in his body was the only indicator that he had been injured.
Su Luo remained seated, his chair intact.
It was only then that Wei Changli began to take Su Luo seriously, but regardless, if one strike wasn't enough, he'd strike again.
Su Luo, however, spoke up.
"Don't be so hasty. Wouldn't you like to know what happened in the March Cave? You murdered your own brother and took the treasure for yourself."
"How do you know?" Wei Changli halted, his face darkening. This matter should have been known only to him.
"Don't rush, I also know about the incident where you killed the son of the Moon Star Sect leader and framed someone else, and..."
Su Luo continued listing Wei Changli's past "exploits."
Some of them were trivial for their sect's standards, but others were fatal. If these stories were to spread, many powerful individuals would likely seek revenge on Wei Changli.
With each revelation, Wei Changli's face grew grimmer. All of what Su Luo said was true.
But he couldn't fathom how these supposedly secretive incidents could have been uncovered. Some could be understood, but others should have been known only to him.
Su Luo continued speaking indifferently, even pouring himself a cup of water.
"Above all, you wouldn't want the East Extreme Demon Lord to learn about Madam Niu, would you? You even called her 'Little Sweetie.'"
At these words, Wei Changli's expression changed once more, tinged with a hint of fear.
Madam Niu was the most beloved wife of the East Extreme Demon Lord, one of the Four Great Heavenly Demons, and Wei Changli had been quite intimate with her in private.
Even if the other incidents were discovered, Wei Changli would be relatively safe within the Heavenly Demon Sect, as his external enemies would have to weigh the risks of intruding.
But exposure of this affair would be deadly. The East Extreme Demon Lord, known for his jealousy, would surely take his life.
At that thought, Wei Changli's killing intent surged. He didn't waste any words, immediately gathering power for a full-force blow.
Blood Clot Lord's Palm!
This time, the attack landed on Su Luo, and Wei Changli wasn't as careless as the first time, ensuring the strike hit its mark.
"You can still put in a bit more effort. I can handle it," Su Luo remarked calmly.
Su Luo remained unharmed, but the subordinate who had just stood up collapsed again—this time, not just injured, but without a breath.
This eerie scene instantly silenced the entire room. The other subordinate swallowed hard, fearing the same fate would befall him next.
Su Luo, still elegant, lifted his cup and blew on the steam rising from his drink. "I forgot to mention, if I die, all of your secrets will be known throughout the Heavenly Demon Sect."
"I've been able to gather such intelligence, so of course, I have evidence. If I die, my comrades will spread the news."
"Think about the consequences now, Wei Changli."
Wei Changli's fists clenched, and he even drew his sword.
"What, willing to die together? I'm just a small fry, so I don't care, but you're one of the Seven Heavenly Demons. If you think it's worth it, go ahead."
Wei Changli lowered his head slightly, his expression hidden, but in the next moment, he swung his sword toward Su Luo with lightning speed.
Su Luo remained confident, sitting firmly in his chair.
Wei Changli's sword suddenly changed direction, decapitating his other subordinate with a swift, unstoppable motion.
The man died with a look of confusion.
Now, only two were left in the room.
Su Luo clicked his tongue. "That's some swordsmanship."
Su Luo understood Wei Changli well. Among the Seven Heavenly Demons, he was outwardly fierce but actually the most fearful of death.
These two subordinates, having heard what Su Luo said, would likely not survive tomorrow even if they survived today.
Only the dead can keep secrets.
It was a pity, though, to have served such a master.
If the opportunity arose, Su Luo wouldn't mind helping Wei Changli tie his tie and say to him, "This is for you."
"What exactly do you want?" Wei Changli sheathed his sword, his heart filled with rage, yet he couldn't erupt.
"I'm just a mere Demon Soldier. What ill intent could I have? I’m just looking for a backer, and you seem like a solid choice."
"So what do you need me to do?"
Wei Changli wasn't one to accept his fate easily. For now, he decided to bide his time and gather more information first. Once an opportunity presented itself, he wouldn't hesitate to eliminate Su Luo.
"Nothing much. Just look out for me in the Heavenly Demon Sect. Don’t let me die, or else you’ll be going with me."
"Anything else?"
"Nope, that’s it."
Su Luo’s smug demeanor really rubbed Wei Changli the wrong way. But for now, he had no choice.
"Fine."
Wei Changli reluctantly agreed.
"Thanks, Wei Demon Prince. I won’t bother you with your cleaning duties anymore. Goodbye."
Su Luo had his own affairs to handle, after all. He still had to go back and rest.
"Oh, by the way."
"What now?"
Su Luo added, "When you attack Gu Xiuping, don’t leave me out."
"Sure thing."
Despite appearing calm, Wei Changli was inwardly shocked. How on earth did Su Luo know about his plan to attack Gu Xiuping?
This plan hadn’t even been fully revealed yet. He had only hinted at it to the Demon Blades who had retrieved the Crystal Core.
What’s going on with Su Luo?
Is there someone pulling strings behind him?
But if that’s the case, this person’s influence is frighteningly extensive. How does he know so much?
In that moment, Wei Changli’s mind was in turmoil, contemplating countless possibilities.
No matter what, he vowed to carefully investigate Su Luo later.
He wasn’t about to let himself be controlled by someone else.
After everything he had sacrificed to get to this position, he refused to become someone else’s puppet.
After Su Luo left, Wei Changli only grew angrier with each passing moment.
When had he ever had to endure such humiliation?
His frustrations boiling over, he once again unsheathed his blade, venting his anger on the hapless underlings below him.
Once he was done lashing out, he still had to fulfill his part of the deal with Su Luo.
First, he would declare Su Luo as his subordinate. Anyone who dared to mess with Su Luo would be declaring war on him, Wei Demon Prince.
He knew how twisted the hierarchy in the Heavenly Demon Sect was. He feared that some dim-witted sect members might act out of spite and assassinate Su Luo.
And if that happened, Wei Changli would be dragged down with him, completely unjustly.
Next, he would promote Su Luo to the rank of Demon Blade.
Didn’t Su Luo just hint at that with his earlier remark, "I’m just a mere Demon Soldier. What ill intent could I have?" It seemed clear that Su Luo was dissatisfied with his current rank.
