Villain’s Diary: Why Does It Feel Like You’re All Acting Against Me?

Villain’s Diary: Why Does It Feel Like You’re All Acting Against Me? Chapter 21

Su Luo saw Hong Guang collapse and immediately rushed over to shake him.

"Don't do this! What kind of act is this? Lin Xuan hasn’t even arrived yet. At least wait for him to show up, and then let him give you a look that makes you collapse! That would make more sense!"

"Stop shaking me, it hurts!" Hong Guang didn’t dare move, knowing that if he did, the act would be ruined.

Suddenly, Li Siyi pounced on Su Luo, knocking him down.

In Su Luo’s arms, Li Siyi looked up at him with tears shimmering in her eyes. "Thank you, Su Luo. You’re the first one who came to save me. I was so scared earlier."

"No, it’s what I should do."

"Lin Xuan, where are you?"

Su Luo thought to himself that this wasn’t how the plot was supposed to go.

Lin Xuan had been taken elsewhere by the Third Elder, and he definitely wouldn’t be coming. This was something Li Siyi had specifically arranged.

"You were so brave earlier."

"Uh, I guess so." Su Luo didn’t know how to respond. How did I suddenly become the hero?

He couldn’t help but look at Hong Guang as if he were an idiot. "You play games, but do you have to play them to the death? There are so many games that are in your favor, but you had to go for Russian roulette? Chasing thrills got you killed, and now you’ve dragged me into this mess. I really want to throw up!"

Hong Guang, lying on the ground, also felt like throwing up. Was that really considered bravery? Girl, you must be blind. I was better than him.

What does she see in him? His background? That might actually be it.

But I still have to say, strength is everything.

"I never realized before that you would risk everything for me. I’m sorry, I was wrong about you in the past." Li Siyi continued to open her heart, expressing her growing affection.

"Well, actually, uh..."

Su Luo was at a loss for words. If this kept up, Li Siyi’s feelings for him would explode.

But Li Siyi, ever considerate, said, "You don’t need to say anything. I understand."

Hong Guang wanted to get up and punch someone. "Can you two stop with the sweet talk? I’m bleeding to death here!"

And then, the next second, Hong Guang heard the most beautiful sentence.

Li Siyi said, "Let’s go back."

"What about him?"

"Him? He’s already dead."

With a swift motion, Li Siyi ended Hong Guang’s life. Until his last breath, Hong Guang couldn’t understand why she didn’t keep her word.

What a joke.

Li Siyi had never intended to let Hong Guang live from the very beginning.

"Let’s go." Li Siyi took Su Luo’s arm, and they left together.

At this point, even if Lin Xuan showed up, there was nothing he could do to change the situation.

Strangely, the system didn’t alert them that the plot had deviated.

Could it be that character affection doesn’t affect the main storyline?

Su Luo felt Li Siyi’s joy as she walked beside him. This was a side of her he had never seen before. Now she seemed like a young girl, not just a prideful genius who always put on airs.

"What are you looking at? Do I seem strange to you?"

"Ah, Siyi, do you really think I’m that great? I thought about my performance earlier, and it was pretty much useless. I’m just a spoiled brat."

"Yes, but even as a spoiled brat, you were the first one to show up. To me at that moment, you were a ray of hope."

"I thought my appearance would just make things worse."

"Haha, how could that be? If I were in the same situation, would you feel the same if I showed up?"

"Of course not."

Su Luo said that, but he already felt like he was seeing black. Li Siyi, you’ve really gone off the rails now!

"I wouldn’t either. And you know, I’ve started to see you differently. You’re not as bad as I thought."

Maybe it was after reading your diary that I saw the real you.

"Really? I didn’t know that."

"Yes, I’m sure of it. One day, you’ll become famous across the world, and no one will dare mess with you."

Even though your strength surpasses mine now, I’ll work hard to surpass you and become the strongest. Then, whoever dares to mess with you, I’ll cut them down.

In Li Siyi’s eyes, Su Luo had saved her several times, which meant his strength was already greater than hers. She believed this was the result of Su Luo reliving his life dozens of times, accumulating experience that was useful in the early stages.

But talent wasn’t something that could be easily changed.

Su Luo’s future cultivation would undoubtedly be filled with hardships. He had even written in his diary about being a villain, how he would eventually fall into demonic cultivation to gain power.

Li Siyi didn’t want to see that happen, so now she had another reason to grow stronger.

"Famous across the world? That doesn’t sound like me."

Su Luo shook his head.

I’m just a villain opposing the protagonist. Even if I become famous, it won’t be for anything good.

......

After the incident with Li Siyi’s kidnapping, Su Luo and Li Siyi’s relationship didn’t deteriorate. Instead, it grew even closer.

Even so, the system didn’t alert them that the plot had deviated. So, no worries there.

Now, Su Luo had a feeling that no matter what foolish or embarrassing things he did, Li Siyi wouldn’t distance herself from him.

It was all so inexplicable.

So Su Luo stopped trying so hard. He decided to act more naturally around Li Siyi, not making things harder for himself.

Of course, most of the time, Li Siyi was busy cultivating and didn’t seek out Su Luo much.

Su Luo naturally didn’t go out of his way to find her either.

And so, Su Luo’s life continued as usual, though nothing particularly noteworthy happened recently. His diary entries had become rather perfunctory over the past few days.

One day.

[Played cards.]

Two days.

[Played cards.]

Three days.

[Su Luo, oh Su Luo, how could you fall so low...]

Four days.

[Played cards.]

This was the routine of Su Luo’s diary entries for the past few days.

Though Su Luo didn’t actually play cards, he wrote it down anyway since there wasn’t much else to write about. Of course, he didn’t have to write every day, but since it was called a diary, he felt compelled to jot something down.

Out of a playful spirit, Su Luo continued the trend.

......

Time flew by, and the entrance exam for the Seven Stars Sword Sect arrived.

Su Luo packed lightly and set off for the Seven Stars Sword Sect.

Before leaving, his father gave him some advice.

The main gist was, "Don’t feel pressured. The path has already been paved for you."

He also gave Su Luo a storage pouch, an incredibly valuable item that most cultivators couldn’t afford.

And so, Su Luo set off.

Joining him were the talented youths of Autumn Wind City, including Lin Xuan.

The Seven Stars Sword Sect’s entrance exam was open to anyone under the age of 20.

There was no need to worry about too many people joining, as the exam was designed to rigorously screen candidates, accepting only a select few.

The mode of transportation to the Seven Stars Sword Sect was the city lord’s mount, the Blazing Sun Red Bird.

It carried Su Luo and the others to the Seven Stars Sword Sect.

The journey was uneventful.

After half a day, they arrived at Seven Star Town, located at the foot of the Seven Stars Sword Sect. This was where the exam would take place. Only those who passed could enter the sect.

The town was bustling with candidates from all over, but the atmosphere was orderly. Anyone causing trouble was quickly dealt with by the sect’s disciples.

"Lin Xuan, you’re not going to pass the entrance exam. You might as well leave now."

Su Luo immediately started taunting Lin Xuan. In the original plot, Su Luo knew he was guaranteed a spot in the Seven Stars Sword Sect, so he acted arrogantly. If he didn’t vent now, when would he?

"Worry about yourself," Lin Xuan replied coolly before turning and walking away.
